Hey Dudes & Dudettes! I made my way to the second round of Black Wall Street in Bridgeport this year this past Sunday September 10th and had such a great time. For those unaware, Black Wall Street is an coordinated event where locally black owned businesses gather to sell and promote their business. This is the 3rd annual edition for Bridgeport run by Dream Life Works and each year appears to get more improved. It’s great to see so many local people begin to invest in themselves & breath life into their dreams.

Check out the video below for a preview of my experience

There were numerous vendors with so much to offer but here is a small preview of what I purchased this year.

T. Barnes Beauty is an organic line of skin care products and cosmetics with great pay off! I invested in a nude lip color known as Smarty Pants which is a perfect for everyday and just what I was seeking. Hot To Trot is the darker color which I purchased and it does not show well in the photo but it is so pretty! It looks like a plum magenta with a pretty glimmer making me fall ready.

TW Home Essentials caters to your environment smelling entirely too good. Candles, air fresheners and even candle making parties are products and services offered with over 40 different scents. This particular trip, I purchased 2 air freshener scents Pineapple Sage and my favorite which is the best seller, Jamaica me Crazy. Love it!

Joli Arome sells natural beauty products ranging from Shea butter and incense to oils such as the one featured below. I purchased Earth which is for men and women. I knew from the first whiff that Earth was coming home with me.

Earth’s Natural Touch caters to overall well being in a natural way with women! Certain services include support from a labor doula, vaginal steaming and natural feminine care to name a few. What stood out to me are the Cherish sanitary napkins which are made of cotton, don’t have negative ions, are known to alleviate cramping and I look forward to trying them. I met Sci when she was selling her homemade jewelry as featured here, I kind of snuck in asking for it. Isn’t it cute?

Stylish Statements caters to the woman with eccentric pieces of jewelry. There were a few pair which stood out to me but these I refused to leave without.

Overall, Blackwallstreet was a success. It’s great to know what is in your neighborhood and not only are you supporting locally but you get to see, smell, taste, and feel in person, avoid shipping costs and sometimes get items on sale or at a discounted rate.

Let me know if you were in attendance at Black Wallstreet this year. If so were you a vendor or a patron and what kind of goodies did you find? I hope to see you all next year!

As always, stay curious. Be blessed.
